Name is John Carrington. I don't race but I help out family and friends whenever I can. I started this board back in 2006. Had some health issues and lost the time to maintain it properly. I'm just glad to see that its in good hands now.

Hi, I am Peggy Duffield, the lady with the water in the staging lanes at last year's bracket finals...Hope to see you all again this year.
I am Greg's wife and I love to go racing with him. Especially when he wins, but that doesn't happen very often  Tongue We have two kiddos, Penny and Owen and I have two older ones, Mary and Peggy Sue.
Stop by and see us at the bracket finals and get a slice of banana bread!

Howdy everyone!

My name is Burdette, and I'm currently living in the Katy TX area.  Originally from Boise ID, where I started racing in the late 70's in High School competition.  Took time off for college, womanizing, and partying, and didn't get back into it until the late 80's.  Met one of my current best friends at the track, and we formed Notorious Racing and have been racing all over the northwest ever since.  Raced a variety of vehicles and classes over the years.  Currently between racecars, as I sold my last setup shortly after starting moving around the country for my wife's work.  I haven't been to any of the local Texas tracks, mainly because I hate spectating- drives me nuts if I'm not racing.  I still keep in touch with my Notorious Racing team in Boise, and go back occasionally to root them on.  I have posted many photos of our cars on the bracketracingnw forum site.  Maybe I'll meet some of you in person one of these days, If I get a new car to play with.

My name is Todd, I was just transferred to Houston/Katy area by my employer a few months back, I do not know a soul in the racing community here.  Have lived in California and then Ohio over the last 15 years.  Raced a lot in Division 7, part of Team Pomona when they ran the Summit program, raced in the division final in Vegas as well.  Also raced Carlsbad in the Outlaw bracket series for many years.

I intend to race points somewhere next year..... not sure where yet, I guess HRP, but I know there is a 1/8th mile track somewhere in Houston by a similar named track.  I'll figure out which soon enough I guess.  But, honestly, I have no idea how you guys race in this summer heat !!  I'm not used to it or something, cause it seems mighty hot out their most days !!

Race a Black 85 Corvette..... if you see me in the lanes, say Hello.

I'm with you there, on the heat and humidity- after doing a brake job on the wife's  car this summer, I told her no way I could work on a race car every week unless we air conditioned the garage.  In Boise, it gets hot, but at least it cools down at night, so could get up early in the morning and get the maintenance done.  I also didn't take in account how the humidity rusts everything in the garage.

You're not kidding....I've never seen this type of heat.  I used to race LACR in Palmdale in California..... was a 2700 ft track in the high desert, most days were right around 105 degrees in the summer, but it didn't bother me a bit...... barely noticed it was hot.  I assume because it was a dry heat.

My garage here is attached to the house and has no side or back windows...... it might be 103 degrees outside, but its a 123 in my garage..... literal Sauna..... ughhh...

Yeah, it's definitely hot, but if you think this is bad, try living in south Florida.  95 degrees, 98% humidity and no wind.  Go outside at 8am and everything is completely drenched from the humidity.  I used to love coming back to Texas during the summer, I didn't care if it was 105 compared to being there at that time of year.

My old man grew up in West Texas where it is a very dry heat. First day he ever sweated was the day he moved to Dallas....and he hasn't quit. He used to love to go race at Abilene and Odessa because he could actually be outside all day

Hey everybody! My wife and I race a 1969 C10 chevy pickup that I built from the ground up. Currently has a 600 hp small block but I am building a 468 big block for it. My 23 year old son is currently building a round tube chassis Chevette that we will have out at the track soon. Our home track is Prairie Hill dragway. Great track and great people operating the track and great people racing there. Love this site. Keep up the good work
