Hello every one, Currently we race a Ray Alan top dragster primarily in brackets. I started steet racing in the late seventys then went into off road VW beetles and street bikes. Took a break when I moved to Colorado in '85 and then started again with a GS 1100e. Moved to Tx. then had a VFR that was just too nice to race and it never broke down. Ever. It still was a fast bike and during a ride in flower mound I realized I was going 120 down main street one sunday morning and went home and parked it. I simply had too much to lose at that point. A few months later I bought my first dragster and i've been drag racing since. Our current car is black with Coldwell Banker on the side. Stop by and say hello at the track. Ralph G.

Hey Ralph, I met you at Redline last Friday when helping push your car into the trailer. Nice to meet you!

Thanks again Aaron for your help. I was worn out and the dead battery didn't help either. I got a new one a few days ago so we're good to go for the next time. RG

Hello Everyone. I am Jeff Harris and currently race a Spitzer hardtail dragster, most often at Redline Raceway. I have been bracket racing in the D/FW area since 1987. I started at the then freshly laid new strip at Cedar Creek back when it was truly a place to bracket race. Then I spent a lot of years racing at the Texas Motorplex and periodically at Texas Raceway. I've raced a Dodge Coronet and a '23 T Altered prior to my dragster. My drag racing interests has always been in bracket racing.

I'll be at the IHRA bracket finals on the Redline team. I hope to meet ya & see ya there...

Good Luck & Great Racing to all,

Jeff

Hey Guys, My name is Rick Huckabee a race a FED with the SWJFA and a 63 Falcon in bracket racing. My wife Jenny and I plan on racing a lot more next year and hope to visit some different area tracks. I raced @ Temple in the early 70's when I was in the service. Was raised in West Texas and Penwell was the first race track I ran on. We now live in the Denton area and race @ Northstar.

Hi my name is Sheila, this is my first year to bracket race, I race at redline raceway,  my husband talked me into trying a street class, driving a lexus IS, that was not fast enough, so I ask for faster car, well little did I know he bought me a 87 no electronics car for next season, now driving a  09 mustang gt, I finished in 5th place in points, not bad for a beginner & changing cars in middle of season, what can I say I am hooked Shocked

Hi, my name is Chip Cooksey. I'm from Arkansas, but I lurk around down in Texas when the tracks up here stop racing for the winter. I actually enjoy to travel, and only race locally when I'm short on time or money (which seems to by quiet often lately). I get pretty bored racing the same track every week. It's pretty cool racing 3 states away, and running in to someone from your area.

So if you see the white trailer with the big razorback on the back door in Texas, I'm just here to race. Don't get the rope, I'll be gone by monday..............

Hello, my name is Brandon Hamilton. I have been bracket racing my super slow street daily driven cars at Pine Valley in Lufkin which is my home track. I have also raced at Hallsville raceway back in the day, Red River in Shreveport, Ben Bruce in Evadale, and Cherokee County in Rusk which is now closed. I use to have a job building pro and sportsman race cars at Bevis Built Race Cars in Tyler but the shop closed and its owner Todd Bevis went to work in North Carolina for Victor Cagnazzi who ows Jeg Coughlins car. I am in the process of building my very first real bracket car and hope to race it on a regular basis next year. It's an 84' Chevy Monte Carlo LS that has already ate up two costly th-350's in six passes. It now has a th-400 installed and hope to not tear it up anytime soon. I will be doin some TNT with it this weekend at PVR. I have had alot of fun racing slow street cars although I did have a 10 sec. street bike a few years back I raced some, but none of it compares to an open header race car. Man the Monte puts a big ole smile on my face every time I fire it up. I know one sure thing I used to build pro stockers with other peoples money like it was nothing and now that I am footing the bill for my own, durn these things soak up alot of time and money. But I would'nt trade it for nothing. It sure was easier though driving my street cars to the track and racing them and driving home with very little mantinence and costs compared to race cars. But that is the price we pay for the unexplainable enjoyment of a race car. Be Safe, Later

Durn, broke an axle in the monte on first time trial pass today at PVR. Unhooked the tow truck(former street/race truck) and won Mod E.T.. Now I have some of the money to fix or put another rear end in it. LOL. Funny how that worked out.

Hello Everybody.
We are the Buick guys from West Texas.  My son drives either the Red 72 GSX, the 86GN or now mainly the 70 Skylark.  We travel all over the area looking for tracks since the Lubbock track has been closed.

The 70 race car is all Buick with a 464 running on pump gas.  Stock type suspension, stock appearing interior and 10.5 tire.  Best ET so far in our high altitude is 11.17 @119mph.  We are finishing the rear suspension now, going to paint it this winter, and also add just a touch of nitrous to get us mid 10's or better.  Car will be street legal also.

Hope to see ya'll around.
