I thought this thread may be a great way for those that join to share a little information about themselves.  I guess it's only appropriate that I go first.

I've been racing for about 20 years now, and I currently have a 2007 4-link dragster that Lynn Lawson out of Ft. Worth built for me.  This is the best car I've ever owned.  Lynn and his son do some amazing work.  I've raced a little bit of everything, mostly bracket raced some pretty quick door cars and then moved into an Outlaw Pro Mod for a little while.  I stopped racing for a few years, and just "borrowed" rides here and there, and now I pretty much just do it for fun.

My home track is Little River.  My family and I actually live right at the end of the track, so that's convenient.  Outside of racing, I own a data recovery business.  Basically when a hard drive fails, my company recovers the data.  In the IT/Computer world, I guess you could say we are like the neurosurgeons of the industry, and there aren't many companies that can really do the type of work we do.  Here's one of the video's I put together last year for our customers showing an actual recovery on a hard drive.

Hard Drive Data Recovery - Western Digital Head Swap

Other than racing and work, I spend most of my time with my wife and kids.  I've recently been getting into gardening, which really made me feel old.  There's just something amazing to me about dropping a few seeds in the ground and the next thing you know you've got a watermelon there.

I'm also pretty enthusiastic about doing stuff outdoors as long as it's not 110 degrees.  We love to go hiking and traveling with the kids.

Hi my name is Lane and Im a raceaholic.  (APPLAUSE) I have been racing 10 years. I started racing my 90 1/2 ton from HS, then I got my 70 Olds Cutlass out of the field and ran it for a few more years until I bought the Nova that I am currently racing.  I race mainly at Little River and Prairie Hill.  I cut back this year because of my kids activity's but I will never be a recovering raceaholic.  Smiley

I sure have missed this site!  Glad its back up!

Hey I'm Aaron and I race a footbrake a 76 Camaro. Usually at Redline and occasionally Northstar. Been racing since 96 at 16 years old and still going strong, although my wife would like me to slow down at least a little. Currently I'm tied for the lead in points at redline hoping to grab a few more wins to try and wrap it up. Other than that I'm looking forward to the bracket finals and hopefully a trip to The Rock for a shot at the SSS title.

Glad the site is back up, it's one of my favorites!

My name is max I race a 1971 camaro in just about every class I can at bracket races(only quick open wheel is out, until I get my fiberglass front clip  Wink ) and also run the NHRA and IHRA series in Super Street and Hot Rod. I am for certain the typical 20 year old young punk and glad I hopefully won't have to search every division 4 track's website to figure out where to race on a particular weekend. Thanks for bringing it back Greg

Nice to see you on here Tommy.

No problem Max.  It will take some time to get things rolling here again.  I plan on doing some advertising here in the next couple of weeks once I finish a few details.  I'm also thinking about doing something similar to what they did on the old board, where new members are eligible for a drawing for a Jeg's gift card.  I know that got me to post more.LOL

High to all, I'm Meredith Jones  Cool from Plano TX. since 1979. I grew up in Arkansas. Currently I am racing my 1965 Chevelle wagon(Honkytonk HERO) in the DFW area in the electronics class because I suck at footbrake racing. I've been actively racing since 1986 but have had the wagon since 1973 and was built into a race car at that time. My home tracks are Texas Raceway and North Star Dragway and have signed up this season in IHRA as well and have made a few trips to the new track at Crandall. Good luck to all, even you Max.  Grin

My name is Michael Rhodes and I just started this whole drag racing thing. I'm 19 and I began dirt track racing at 14 in a Jr Mini stock. I raced those cars until I was 18 then this year, I decided to try drag racing. I've been racing my pickup in street classes trying to learn and I recently bought my first somewhat race car. I race at Redline and at Paris Dragstrip.
